Subject description: ISO: improvements
 

STATS

Strength: 43 base (final will be 70)
Dexterity: 42 final (base will vary)
Vitality: Rest
Energy: None

SKILLS

9 Prayer
4 Defiance
7 Smite

GEAR

Helm: 3 Socket Sup Crown with Def/Life Jewels (1 with DTM, 2 with Dex)
Armor: 4 Socket Sup Ancient with Def/Life Jewels (2 with -Req, 2 with DTM)
Weapon: Crushflange with Def/Life Jewel with DTM or Dex
Shield: Pelta Lunata with Def/Life Jewel with DTM or Dex
Belt/Boots/Gloves: Sigon's
Amulet: at least 5 Stat with Life/RepLife/DTM/Mana/OtherGoodMods
Rings: at least 2 Stat/RepLife with any other useful mods
Inventory: 15Life/3Def LCs x20


if all jewels used are 8 defense and all charms are 3 defence(yeah, like that'll happen within a year), defense is over 1.3k. possibly even higher, as i think the sigon part save items i'm using are not actual defence. life is over 550, assuming all jewels are 8 life and charms are 15.

mana i'm unsure of, as i didn't add the level bonus or have much gear with +mana thrown in. some energy or straight mana could also be gotten from rings/ammy, as it seems it will already have a low mana pool. i think you'll want to aim for 40%+ dtm with this specific build, as you will very rarely be getting hit with 75% block, 3 frame block, and 1.3k defense. you'll want to take as much advantage as possible of every hit you take for mana restoration.

the dex mod on jewels is just my own personal preference to save points into it for max block. mana may be a better mod to have, or just more dtm.

what could be improved on this specific build? i think it's pretty solid, but i'm also an idiot, so my thoughts don't count.

u might also want "strong" and etheral mod for your shield to boost your def

even with it if they throw a nagel or 2 on to counter smiter your screwed

i would get a sup 6 os mil pik with all 9 maxers to finish them off, after all u only have to do like 5-10 dmg

true dat homes, being smite and requiring no ar, your build doesnt really require you putting any on, so your AR is low as possible, i would do what heprea said

A, full sigs exept for switching sigs tower for a sword back would poon this build real bad, 20 attker takes dmg ooh, that be a nasty duel for that smiter.
I'd keep a eye out for a sig wearing lvl 14 pubs, your not going to want to have to duel one of them.

The most obvious change would be getting an ethereal self-repair xx% enhanced defense Crown and Ancient Armor. But those only come around once in a blue moon.

A quick option to getting high defense would be to socket an ethereal Ancient armor with the cube recipe. Due to the ethereal bug, you'll get more enhanced defense than it is possible to get legitimately at level 9 (50% vs. 40%). Just load the sockets with simple -req jewels for a cheap and easy solution.

the reasoning behind pelta is for 3 frame block rate, extra life, and extra mana. i didn't list a switch because i'm still undecided on it, as a crush on switch would be the only way to wear all gear after switching. that or hopefully be able to handle them long enough without wearing anything except weapon and shield.

possibly just normal attack with crush on switch? flawed amethyst in crush, 35-40ar jewel in a second pelta? ar would be terribly low with this one, however. maybe just use a bone shield of some sort?

i'd really hate to have to use all my stats to get up to str needed to wear everything after weapon switch.

so the only real issue i'm having right now is what to use on switch if i go with pelta.

my friend's vlld smiter uses a spiked shield and an up'd horadric staff on switch for higher dmg and faster attack once the cb stops being effective.
