Are there any good free mmorpg's out there? I've already played ragnarok and maple story. anything else out there?

my comp is about 5 years old, so its not too great

com'on, all the old style mmorpgs~~ boring

its a FREE FOREVER mmorpg, but its actually a first person shooter, you can choose to pilot bombers, interceptors, and tanks(tanks fly too)

but you still lvl up from killing monster and doing mission, and you put points into attack, defense, agility, shield, fuel, spirit(mana). just like d2, if you mess up the pts, your char/GEAR will suck.

there is pvp also, in the game there are 2 different sides, the gov't and the rebels, and players from both side can raid the other side, just like world of warcraft, there is also the nation leader, who is an actual player, sometimes he leads us to battle. you get killmarks for killing other players from the enemy nation, and they can be sold for money or used for experience. when a certain amount of enemies are killed, a nation will send scout/mothership to do a huge attack on the other nation, and the other nation will have to defend their city and try to destroy enemy mothership.

me and my friends play on Hovernmus server, and we are the A.N.I(Rebels). if you choose to join the government army then you cannot talk to any ANI players, you cannot make a new char and join ANI either unless you delete the old one.

god ras i cant stand runescape lol. darkthrone is so fun i started playing when i joined 101 havent stopped yet lol. but by free do you mean you dont have to buy the game or just free to play but you have to buy the game? anyways guildwars is pretty kool but gets boring after a while imo

Maplestory is a free mmorpg, but theres an option to spend cash for perks.

Eve Online is fun for the free trial, but if your a little slow you'll spend it just getting to know the game because of its learnign curve, after the trial it's pay to play.
