Well?
I'm thinking I might try a lightning sorceress, you'd have TS backing you up, energy sheild, teleport and about 2k dmg each lightning, again with the bonus of 400-600 from TS.

Meh, dunno, I'm torn between fire and cold.

I used to have a fireball/blizz sorc in .09, and I have a half-assed blizz sorc now, and I was never too fond of either.

I think I would have more fun with a pure fire sorc though.

Blizz vs. blizz is pretty fun though...

Plus, lightning sorcs have a pretty slow cast rate don't they? (And their cast rate for lightning/chain lightning is based on IAS iirc, not FCR)

I made it, it fairs well, until it runs out of mana every .4 seconds..

Yeah, I just checked, they changed it from ias to fcr in the patch. Interesting...

I was playing around with the skill planner, and you can get around 1500 max lightning dmg easily, with about 20 mana per cast. Of course, it has a horrificly low min dmg, and TS only does like 250-350 dmg, so yeah, it's low in damage compared to other sorc builds...doesn't seem to viable to me.

I've always been fond of the fire sorc builds, building one now, I'll keep ya posted on how it goes.

Blizz massacres people easily, and you can use it to shield yourself or cover a retreat easily.
Ice Blast is a good direct attack spell, does big damage with synergies and always fun to watch someone die to something "pathetic" like ice blast ^^

Cold Mastery actually pierces resistance, it does NOT raise spell ED%. If it had ED%, people with high resistance, good life, and lots of FRW (and a ranged attack? -.-) could kill a blizz sorc with relative ease. Unless the sorc was skilled...

Plus it's always fun to see noobs complain about your cold attack freezing them...

bliz counter is just stack res so after that, 800-900 dmg bliz is like 35 dmg

w/out stack res u die like that.

fb on other hand can get to 2.9k fb * w/ godly orb * but u can still get least 50 dmg or more w/ around 2k fb. just depends if they use hotpur or whatnot. That just weakens them a bit more though so spam baby. lol

I dunno...whenever I have fought cold sorcs with stacked res, I seem to die easily...

Plus blizzard hits more times than fireball...Blizzard, when casted well, can hit people like 3 times at once, stunning them in a way, and you can hit them with ice blast while they get pummeled by falling shards of ice. Whereas fireballs hit people, but they keep on runnin because fb doesnt stun much.
