Trying a new lld Subject description: LLD BEAR |
|
So anyways i was wanting to try a new lld.
dunno how good it will be but here goes.
Lvl 30 maul Werebear.
so the items.
Helm - a 45 max dmg helm | Peasent Crown (shaeld) | 3 to maul (os helm)
Ammy- Angelics
Rings-angelics
Armor - either twitch with max dmg or a high def so i dont take much dmg
Gloves - bloodfists or the unique demonhide b/c of the crushing blow
Boots - CK or sanders not sure yet which ones
Charms i was thinking most dmg and some life/mana.
Now the skills..
itll be my first 1 so here goes,
so 41 skill points if i counted correctly so
Werewolf - 1 as a prerequisit
Lycanthropy-10
Werebear -5
Maul -20
Oak Sage-5

that pretty much looks ok, ideal helm would be 2 ss skills 3 maul 2 sockets, filled with maxers.
weapon: naga with however many shaels it takes for fastest maul (check ias calc)
angelics is fine
armour: artisans embossed plate of the squid 70+ life fill this with max dmg jewels (twitch is horrible for maulers)
gloves upped bloodfists will be your best friend.
definently choose sanders boots.
shield: artisans tower of deflect, filled with max dmg jewels.
charms all should be max/ar/life, wont need mana really. or just use mana pots i dont see them as bm, especially not in melee.
belt: string of ears.
i think 48% fhr is the bp, so aim for that using charms and bloodfists.
as for skills, only one in oak sage is more then enough, put those 4 skills in werebear, since it will be the first thing your enemy kills. the rest looks ok.
dont expect to beat any ranged/casters, but you should give melee a run for there money

i suggest you try a peace mageplate or w/e...it seems to be the way to go with fury druids now a days, so maybe it will work for you with maul too. some experience with maulers is not something i have, so i dont know if thats a bad idea or not.

try a peace embossed pate, try get 10-15% superior if possible. good idea yea i forgot about that.
see if its more useful than the 75+ life ( when sage and bear come into play) and 45+ max dmg

well i personally think lvl 30 isnt such a good idea ww barbs will eat you alive not to mention all caster types almost because of the bears slow speed youd have to spend half a build getting your ias : / or at least spend extra for it

gear id have similar to a fury druid basicaly
Gear:
helm: 2ss 3maul 2os helm with 20 maxxers in it
armor: peace mageplate/artisans xxx armor of the squid with 20 maxxers
boots: sanders dual stats and ar dont they?/goblin toes
shield: rhyme(cbf)/artisans xxx shield of deflecting
belt: strings/death sash(cbf)
gloves: you'll need the 40 fhr from blood fists
weapon: 6x shaeld naga should hit 5fpa switch some sort of range 5 weapon
rings/ammy: sojs/ss amm/angelics combo
im not to sure on skills itd be best to play around on the calculator but id recomend HoW your life should hit 1.5k-2k pretty easy and you'll need the dmg/ar
charms: 2x 12 fhr gcs so you can always hit the 7frame fhr when not using peace if your using peace u dont really need em since peace gives 20fhr then id split the rest among frw/dmg/ar and life/dmg/ar
i think it could be viable and work but for the best gear alil pricey

if u are going to hell rush it I suggest:
Wolf:1
Lycan:20
Bear:10
Maul:9
Oak:1
*2ss/3maul 2os helm is not realistic (but possible) so 3maul w/ 3xjewels helm will be your best friend for a long time
*u can either use ik gloves instead of upped bfs
*your best shield option is atsod with 2xjewels+shael or 3xjewels
*u can also chose to use Goblin Toes instead of sanders boots
PS: even thou maulers are viable duelers I doubt they can be a challange for zealots or furys...

they may be able to depending on their defense/ar zealots theyd have more trouble since they attack much faster cant be interupted great dmg on still have good defense wihle furys not many around they can be interupted and have much less defense so shouldnt be hard to hit em besides when your getting interupted every other attack 2ss 3maul is kinda like a 2ss 3fury its proably not going to happen lol and imo thiers no gloves better besides blood fists and in bear form ull need the 40 fhr along with the 2gcs just to hit 7 frame fhr or you could just use bloodfists and stay at 8frames fhr. and actually all you need is a 12fhr gc and 5fhr sc to hit 7frame while wearing blood fists.

yea i know thats another reason its makes it a little bit more viable but you wont hit them often enough to keep in a stun

Maul is interruptible.
You'll lose to any fast attacking melee.
Zeal, Fury, even Jabbers.
The only one you might compete with is a slow Conc barb.
