I would go for a 3os Avenger Guard with as close to 50 def I can get, however my question is, should I go for a +3 throw mastery, 3+Double Swing or 3+ to shout? or an complete different skill...

Don't use an Avenger Guard. Throw barbs don't need defense, and it's not worth wasting the strength to use one.

The only skill you need to look for is +3 Throw Mastery. If I had to pick a secondary skill after that, I'd opt for either +3 Spear Mastery or +3 Double Throw, but they're both pretty pointless.

But avenger guards are more aesthetically sound than any other barb helm.

try get a rare +3 mastery, visionary, helm with some other mods, life/2 os for example. it depends on what lvl throw barb really.

bels circlet idea is also good for 30

Its for a lvl 18 throwbarb

I played around witha throwbarb on sp. and I made more damage by pumping Double swing and then the rest in mastery than the other way round.

Looks means alot to me so I'm using an Assault Helmet instead

some calculations what i made

i woudnt go for swing personaly.

(also im no expert with throwbarb i have never made one but, i just wanted to do some calcs to help, hope my calculations where right)

yea use mastery, its over all just better, esp with critical which wins duels.

@ Heprea, I'm not expert either and I've never made one before, but you're calculations they do make sense.

thanks for clearing it all up for me guys! Now I just need the helmet... would hell pits be a good place to look for it?

id probably go nm cows, 8 players. more moneters just means more chance to drop. and its easy to run
