i did some searches and found that lvl 30 summon necs can actually be quite powerful if made right, so heres my attempt at one, mainly to kill pubbies, therefore the hell rush.

items

helm: +2 summon 20 fcr 30% frw life circ, p rubied (peasnt crown until then)
armour: vipermagi, p ruby
boots: sanders
gloves: bloodfists
main weapon: tele staff, socket suggestions? i was thinking resist jewels.
prebuff weapon: 3 skelly mastery 3 bone armour 3 raise skellies switch shield: whitstans, socketed with 9 dex jewel/rhyme necro head +3 bone prison +3 decripify +3 bone spirit/spear
switch weapon: umes lament/spirit crystal sword
ammy: 2 summon 80 life
belt: 15/15 soe
charms: 40 x plain 15 lifers
rings: sojs
prebuff before whitstans: 3 mastery 3 bone armour 3 raise skeleton nec head.
thorns bow for zeal pallies/kickers in stash

skills

skellies: 20
mastery: 16
bone armour: 1
amp: 1
clay golem: 1
golem mastery: 1
summon resist: 1

skills with gear

skellies: 33
skelly mastery: 29
bone armour: 14
amp: 6
everything else: 10 (if i use spirit/umes lament)

if the prebuff mastery and prebuff raise skelly skills stick this gives me skellies with 568 hp and 362 - 365 dmg with 54% res all 13 in total and I lose 2 when i switch to staff

fcr breakpoint = 48% (magi/circlet, or magi/20% off tele staff)

fhr break point = the 30% one

chose might merc for +60% ed (90% if i give him +2 offensive auras circ + vipermagi + eth insight partizan).

skeleton pvp damage with 0% dmg reduction and a might merc + amp = 231 each, 11 skellies total. attack: 935 defence: 935

anything wrong with that, is there anything i should know?

75% fcr = 20% fcr rare tele charges staff, 20% circlet, 10% ammy, 30% viper. imo worth it if you can find the godly staff.

Thorns on summons rape melee.

I was attempting to build this... but I never could find a godly enough claw so I stopped. You should end up raping alot of pubs, keep up updated on how it does.

yea for kickers and melee throns works well so i have an edge bow i'll use instead of whitstans and weapon ( probably spirit for fhr ). does it stack with iron maiden?

im thinking of ditching mages and revives to get bone prison which i think will help more becuase the only revives that i wont lvl from killing(which are big ) are gargantuan beasts and there life is horrible and mages do no dmg so hmm

I would ditch Revives. I'm sure that extra point can be better spent in Skeleton Mastery; Revives are stupid, and not easily replaced (unless you Revive the useless Blood Moor creatures). Mages aren't much use either, but they will at least present your enemy with an additional target.

Rather than using Whitstans, why not consider Rhyming a head with +Decrepify? Since this is a pubbie build I would consider Decrepify to be superior to Amplify damage: it may not have as large a +damage bonus as Amp, but it slows and weakens your enemy, thus increasing the lifespan of your summons. Plus, if you manage to find a +decrep, +bone spirit/spear head it gives you something to plink at your enemy with to further weaken him while your Summons do most of the work.

Definitely take the Might merc - the added damage will be a blessing for your skeles. Plus, he can carry an Insight polearm to help you out.

I dunno, revives can be useful for a really tough char. If I made a summon nec and joined arena, I would use revives. Most people don't because the additional time and they only last 3 min. But every skill allows you to have one more, so you should get around 10, and they are more of a meat shield than anything, unless you duel in hell and somehow get those spirits in baal...

Wait a second... Dao, you're in the wrong forum!

Just because I mod for the O/T forums means I can't post here? Smile I *did* used to be an LLDer myself, ya know, and I have played Necros (summon, bone, poison and whatnot) a fair amount, so I consider myself reasonably versed in their usage.

I acknowledge that Revives can serve as extra meat shields, but that's what your Mages are doing. Realistically, I think even 1 skill point is a waste for a skill you have to hunt down higher-level enemies to activate, only lasts three minutes, and can't be reused once the duel starts. (Hell, you could even get more skeletons from Blood Moor critters if needed, and they'd be fully viable. Reviving them would give you crap.)

Exactly Very Happy.

Well if you want to be very critical with your build and such, don't put any into revive usually you won't use it that often. I say one skill is worth it, just incase you might need em.

Cleg's gloves don't carry over to summons.
Or at least not that I've noticed on my lv 15 summoner.

Hey I've got a question real quick, would this build be considered melee since your main form of attack would be melee dmg or would it go under ranged/casters or what?

I would place this build under the ranged category.

Decrep also gives the enemy -50% phys resistance so it would probly be better than amp.

Also Dao, i would question the "legit-ness" of re-raising skellies mid duel.
