I was wondering if anyone played HoMM Series? I've played since 2 came out, and after the flop of 4 and 3D0 going bankrupt I thought I'd never have more fun. I believe Heroes 3 was the best of them all, and Heroes Complete came with a random map generator so the maps never got old. But soon that started to get old... but I discovered a mod online that practically turned HoMM3 into a whole new game. It took everything good from Heroes 4 and put it into 3. Plus added a bunch of new stuff. It's called Wake of Gods.

It's added hours of fun with me and my roommate, just thought I'd share to people who still play the HoMM games. By the way, HoMM 5 sucks, I'm in the beta test and I hated it...

I only have the third game. I think it is pretty good, I've played 40-50+ hours. It is a nice strategy game. You say the 5th sucked? Why?

Yeah, my friend loaned me the clash of the dragons one, it wasnt nearly as good as 3. Tower > all. Laughing

I played 2 quite extensively. 3 was a little too complex/gloomy for me. I was just too used to the layout of #2.

iv been playing it from HoMM I :) and iv been in luv with number 1-2-3 (4 sucked) and im waiting the number 5 desperatly >.<

u can get heros 3 ezzy from a p2p prog like limewire also in looking for those that know of masters of orion 2

I'm not sure it will work correctly(what is it, downloading from limewire? I don't know what it is), I would think it has plenty of bugs.

And what kind of game is Masters of Orion 2?

masters of orion 2 is a galatic stratigy lurn based game that u use deplomcy espyonge technolgy reasch and cobat with costome made ships
very deep game very very good for its age

If you like spacey sort of games, try Homeworld.

IMO, best RTS of ALL time.
