yea my birth day is on Nov. 27( around thanksgiving)

im hoping to get one tho, and then i will wait til halo 3 come out....

school work makes me busy, i will try to get here as often as i could xD

In case you guys that plan on getting it didn't know - due to problems making the things, only ten are going to be given to each store...heard this from a friend who works at CompUSA. Anyone know if this means ten core and ten meat or what?

i havent heard that, but i do know that all the stores around me have been sold out of pre-ordered 360s for about 4 months now

Well, thankfully the BestBuy where i'm buying it is in the semi-ghetto. This is good and bad, as most of the people can't afford it but that raises the chance that they'll try to steal mine to get it. Which will result in their deaths, all of them >

Just FYI - the 360 ain't that great of a machine, in my opinion. It's a little underwhelming, and a shadow of what the PS3 will be like.

I actually got to play on one when I (briefly) worked at Activision. They're cool-looking, and the wireless controller is both nice *and* nifty. But the graphics (the team next to me was working on Gun for the 360) were underwhelming. Plus, there just aren't enough features above and beyond what the Xbox currently offers. AND, not all the old Xbox games are going to be playable on the new machine. (At least, that was the word two months ago.)

I know a lot of people are going to buy this thing, but I'm gonna take a pass. I'll miss DoA 4 and Halo 3, but to be honest, Halo 2 was weak anyway, and I can get Halo 1 on my laptop.

But for God's sake, if anyone buys the system, don't be the idiot that just gets the basic system.

yeah the 360 graphics dont look all too impressive. I would much rather have a computer

Anyways, im a huge Nintendo enthusiast. I will be buying Nintendo Revolution as soon as it hits the shelves

Heh,..this was a New York Post article, and it stated : Dont Buy the XBOX 360.

I'll give you guys the rundown on the info in this article.

1.Price:Xbox 360 comes in 2 verisons, hard drive-less "core" system for 300$, and the premuin packaage for 400$. But those who buy the lower cost verisons wont be able to play any Xbox games they already own.

2.Lack o Games:Microsoft annouced there will be 200 backwards capatible games(ex.Halo2), but only 19 launch titles for 360. But you can always wait for the second wave of games, due next year.

3. No competition: You could rush out and buy the 360 for hundreds of dollars but we have no idea what the next-gen PS3 and Nintendo Revolution are going to be capable of. Both of those systems are due next year, sparking a mini price war with the 360.

4>Hidden Costs: Right now, the 360's stunning graphics is it's biggest selling point, but you'll need to invest in a HDTV to take advantage of that. Microsoft is basically saying, if you want an HDTV, the 360 is going to make you get it. The 360 is like designed to make your TV look bad if you dont have a HDTV. If you add peripheerals, such as the ablity to play games over the internet, and the 360 costs nearly 600$.

5:Older consoles arnt dead yet: Both the original xbox and os2 are selling for 150$, with the gamecube at 100$, in all cases, a complete steal compared to the 360. You could take the money youve saved and put it towards buying all the systems plus a whole bunch of great games. Although, if you buy a PS2 or XBOX now, you're buying a system at the end of its lifestyle, when some of the best games are showing up.]

Thats the rundown of what the paper said, not my opinions.

Meh. I have extra money to spend and I plan on buying the PS3 too.

I like the launch games, even if there are few and i'll buy the consol just to play them. I never really liked Nintendo's game compared to Sony/MS. IMO - their games for the most part suck.

I already have Xbox live for the internet and i'll buy an HDTV just to play it.

And.... I have both PS2 and Xbox, and Dao I assure you, you will be punished in the hellfire for the comment about Halo 2 >

I guess i'm just a hardcore gamer, but I KNOW the thing is going to rock.

I'll probably get a X-Box 360 with the games Call of Duty 2, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Maybe the Ghost Recon one, and The Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

And then a 600-1000$ HDTV LCD (Porbably the LG one) 27"-30"
And ill get my friend to buy it that works at best buy, and a 1k one should be around 600-700$ with his discount.


Thing i think i will probably hate about PS3 is that controller, it looks way 2 uncomfortable. I prefer the xbox 360 one.
