I saw this in a game the other day:

It was a pala who kept dropping LOADS of soulstones. He was going back and forth to act4 and emptying his inv of them in town.

Can anyone explain how he was doing this?

i think they like soulstones, that explaines it. or they like wasting time i dunno.

yeah i am fairly sure its a common hack, alot of people seam to use it to con people that they can dupe items for other people aslong as they give them the *good item first*

Yes it's a D2 Hackit packet to make people believe the person is a duper...it's much easy to hack the game to let you have 50 soulstones rather than having you duping a real item

erm..forgive me if i'm wrong, but,

If you haven't completed the quest and you dont have a soulstone on your person or in the stash - Decard Cain will automatically give you another soulstone everytime you see him.

Hence the pala visiting act 4 constantly.

Sounds more plausable than a hack or module - as if someone had the brains to make one to dupe a soulstone - a little extra effort would glean something much more useful to him/her Wink

But, gotta give it to him... it's more original than

x "whats you battle.net rating?"
y "what's that"
*x rubs his hand together*
x "well, to find out type /dnd account/pass and it will tell you what your rating is"
*y proceeds to do this*

oh, hey presto - y lost his account!

y "omg omg omg omg i just got hacked - back to 'freeby games' for me, one day maybe i'll get a better rating"

Yes cain does give you a soulstone if you visit him.

But he only gives you 1. and this pala was coming back with like 10 in his inv.

Ive just tried to do it, and i got a soulstone from him, took it to act1 then went for another... no dice.

He will only give you one per game and your char can only hold 3 [norm, nm and hell all at once]

Explaination= Its a packet sent using a combination of programs{ d2hackit,d2loader and some others but I forget their names} Anyway, it's basically the same as " gold dupe". Person sends the packet to replicate the same game generated item over and over. You guys never saw the blood moor covered in gold?? Sheesh..... No, it cant be used to dupe real items so don't fall for the silly scam.
