I'm currently working on a Time Spiral Block Constructed Deck,
Any ideas or comments on it? It is for Pro Tour Q's.
I'm currently working on a G&R deck.

Gruul in TS block? Eh, TS block is dominated pretty hardcore by control. Good luck.

Oh god how I love project X. Granted I can't combo as fast as dragonstorm and my combo is open to a decent bit of disruption but the deck has SO many options.... just don't extirpate my crypt champion. Sad

R/G I assume to be Gruul, unless you're trying LD.

Project X can be a few things. Infinite life is the fastest and easiest combo to pull off in the deck. Third turn if you have BoP's, Wall of Roots and the combo in hand. It can also generate infinite 1/1 white Spirit tokens(And therefore remove all your opponent's creatures from the game), finally it can deck your opponent via Bitter Ordeal and the Saffi/Crypt Champion cycling.

Surprise is best achieved in Project X by playing it as a WG aggro deck, only laying down a Teysa, some removal, or your crypt champion if you need to. Ghost Council beats wrath of god as does whatever creature Saffi Eriksdotter targets.

So, I never got into tournaments or anything like that, just played for fun while I was younger. The, bout a week ago, I go and pick up a deck just to see whats changed. I got the Ravinca premade deck, white/green, the uber-saproling producing beast, y'all know what I'm talking bout? Well, it plays really well out of the box, but I went through a few of my friends cards and replaced 5 cards in the deck with 5 others, from earlier series (Onslaught and before) and so far out of the few decks that my friends and I have between us, the only one that challenges it is the green deck stuffed with elves and a couple big big's (thorn elemental anyone?) and a similar deck that gives you literally infinite life after you have 6 mana available to use.

When I first started, and even when I quit, the pre-made decks were not even CLOSE to how good the one I picked up is. Why did they change it so much?

Because the only reason people bought the old pre-built decks were for the rares, now people buy them to have a half-decent deck.

Ahh, guess that makes sense. I remember the last premade deck I bought was from Onslaught, and when I found the Cat Legend Jareth in it I bout shit a brick cuz he was foil. When I quit I got a couple bucks for that one Smile

They've been slowly getting better with designing the premades, and they're best when they incorporate all three sets from a block.

LOL! Psychatog...that brings back memories. A friend of ours had a virtually unbeatable Type-2 (at the time...) Psychatog deck, that pissed us off to no end. We joke about it to this day.

I started playing around the time Tempest came out, and was a shameless addict through Uraz's block (which I consider to the peak of MTG) and attended a lot of DCI sactioned tournies in Pittsburgh and Columbus. I quit playing after attending the Mercadian Masks prerelease.

I sold my entire collection on Ebay years ago, but still have 2 decks tucked away in a box somewhere, that i just couldn't get rid of:

-Tinker/Metalworker combo deck, from Urza's block (Stroke of Genius, Tolarian Academy, Lotus petals, Voltaic Keys, etc)

and

- Type 1 old-school Necro deck (Hypnotic Specters, dual-lands, etc etc)
