Ok, since i got 1 week and in panic mod, im just gonna poll it by color. What color do u recomend me using?
I could use blue since counter spells are very evil to be against.
I can use Green since of the even mana acceraltion and just pump out high caster.
Red has land destuction and burn spells to stall the oppen, and then burn away.
White was evil quick weenie that i can just use for agression before they can block all of them.
Black well, it has alot of flaws to try, but the easy creature destuction and graveyard returns can be helpful.
SO help me pick! i got 5 days left. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

My expertise may be about... eight years out of date, but I always liked mixing White into whatever deck I made. White is (or was) a very strong base to start from: healing, some countermagic, good creatures for defense, etc. From there I would usually decide what I needed to add to achieve a desired effect: Red for destruction magic, Blue for countermagic, Green for craploads of easily summoned hordes, or Black for a classic life/death deck.
Alternately, if they still have the multi-color lands you could try a three-color deck. I had a green/white/red deck that rocked pretty well for a good while.

pickign 1 solid color is usually not the best strategy. you HAVE to mix atleast 2, if you want to win. going pure any 1 color means you are too easily countered.

well 3 of the 5 colors can solo very well, after doing some game play testing and readin at magicthegathering.com blue white and green and solo.
Cookie cutters are:
If u seen standard cards lately, white weenies r very fast and agreesive mix along with easy pumping and cheap spells
green has mana flow and quick beat down,
blue has control, so returning, countering and drawing cards, then beat down with massive flyers.
yes mixing does work but i don't know that to go.

Well its been about 2 years since I played, but I still have my deck, I always liked to mix black and red for mass creature destruction and land destruction.. Not to mention nice X dmg spells..
Edit- If you want me to post my deck I'll find it.

Good Luck, Deck seems well put together. I only play vintage and legacy b/c of the cards they allow. Any way Good Luck ^.^

Haha, lol decks got killed, but it was fun to see the control deck and waste so much time.
Cookie cutter Tooth and nail dominated the regionals(i mean it was seen a lot and not that it was owning everyone.) I barely was vs any tooth and nail. I got paired with like all this newb crap and unique builds in which i how no idea what to extract and such. Still fun with side events. Well fun to play next year.

there is a demo you can play online, with 4 limited color decks. its free. but if you buy the game, and want to actually win, you do have to pay for cards.
i played the demo for about a week. it gets really boring, as everyone knows every card, and once someone has a certain strategy or card, its pretty much game over.
