I built the cookie cutter zealot build lvl 18 with all the usual equipment and charms with the exception of my weapon. I chose a sup war axe over sup mil pick. 1. cuz it looks so cool 2. cuz I hadn't found a nice pick yet (don't worry, found one and am in process of filling up)

I met a dueler, lvl 18 zealot also, and he used cleglaw sword. He won 8 out of 10 duels vs me and his items were exactly the same. I didn't see his charms but I'm sure he has similar...maybe slightly better ones. His sword was socked with a 15 maxer.

Is the cleglaw sword really that much better than jeweled weaps...or is it just because the pick is faster and I would fare better with it vs this guy if I meet again??? Kind of saddened me cuz I love my war axe...so pretty filled with all 15's and one 17!!! By the way...my AR was 400 pts higher than his so please let me know about the cleglaw thing before I fill my pick with Max jewels please.

1. war axe has lower base speed than a pick(or clegs sword) he was probably faster than you

2. clegs has deadly strike, 50%. that means 1 of 2 hits he did double dmg to you.

3. if he happened to be using the gloves in combination with the sword, he was also slowing you.

4. his charm-set could make a HUGE difference, some ppl choose all life, some ppl choose max\ar\mod gc's, some mix n match.

as basic as the build is, there's still a lot of factors that determine whether you'll win(not to mention the randomness of lvl 18 dueling)

yeah, IMO, clegs is the best sword for 18s

Well good thing I saved my newly acquired MD jewels instead of piling them in my new pick!!!

After being pawned by this guy...and hearing your feedback...Cleglaw's it is!!! Since low lvl are all swords are created equal?? Is there such a thing as a perfect Cleglaw sword? Books say no...but thot I'd ask the experts.

Also, since pwnography uses cleg...based on picture...what jewel do you have in yours...if u don't mind.

Enh, I'm not too keen on Clegs. I use a 5 socket +2 zeal warscepter, and I beat other 18's that use Clegs 80% of the time. Could be the charms, though.

yep charms do make the difference but if you arent rich clegs is the way since you save on 4 jewels

but ive proved it on open with the best equipment clegs = 5 socket +3 zeal +3 conc 15% ed scepters

Nope no poison damage. Right now I'm using too many MD/AR charms (currently 5 I think) which is part of my whole life problem. Eventually I hope to replace damage for life. With low life I just have to pray I can kill them quickly before they hit me Laughing

I also am using normal jewels...no godlies. All 15's so ...

Anyway this is version 3 of this guy and still I know I have to r/m him. But figure I'd wait until I've got the charms I want and then go for it. I just hope I get him done before new ladder Exclamation

and then I'll have to start from scratch... Evil or Very Mad
