Which is more fun? Considering longevity and playability...Do NOT use cost in your decision. I don't care about the money.

Let me know fellas. I am trying to decide my next game to play. Money is not an issue. I just want a good game that I can get hooked on for awhile.

Cast your votes as if they were all free!

If you select other please post the game.
Information as to why you made this choice would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

in my experience i have played d2, gw, and wow.

when it comes down to it, i think if money isnt a worry, WoW beats all. its a seriously addicting game (im already going through withdrawl because my computers in the shop, and iv only played for a few days) and garunteed fun for hours and hours. whereas, i found GW to be slightly boring.

I haven't played WoW but I have played GW. I'm going to have to agree with Jason and say that it just got boring after awhile. From what I've seen and heard of WoW, not much else comes close to it. The only drawback I've heard consistently is the Pay to Play feature but since you said that money isn't a variable to consider, PtP doesn't factor into the equation.

I haven't played Guild Wars. I've played Diablo 2 and World of Warcraft.

After the first day of WoW, I was hooked. The money I'm paying each month to keep my account active is going toward keeping servers maintained, and is paying the salaries of those that write patches, make fixes, and take out the trash(gold farmers, wannabe cheaters, and abusive dicks). Oh! I almost forgot to mention the consistent updates, something us d2 players aren't really used to, yanno? In my opinion, that's money well spent.

As for as matic's comments go, there are PvE servers, and RP servers, depending on desired level of PvP. Personally, I play on a full PvP server, and like it. The feeling of not always being safe from other players gives a bit of a rush, and being able to chase someone down and beat them senseless is quite appealing.

If you're going to balk about not having a credit card, or that your parents won't let you use theirs for your account(if you're under 18, or don't have a CC or checking account with debit card), they sell pre-paid game cards at most major game stores(Hell, even Best Buy carries em).

I just hit level 40 with my main character in WoW, and damn did that open up a whole new world.

Sister's husband has WoW just found out...I got it tonight...thanks for the input guys it was very helpful. I already had guild wars and got bored with it after about 10 hours of play. Got a lvl 14 W/Mo and a lvl 12 Fire whatever/Mo. Really boring after a short time...dissappointed to say the least. Just was wondering if everyone had the same outlook.

So now I got WoW and I got the guest card....but where is this free month of play the box says on it? I went to use the guest card (10 days) and so I figured I would not have to put in a credit card.....but its still asking for one. I wouldn't mind using my credit card but I just switched banks and am waiting for my new card in the mail Mad

Oh well...guess I can wait another week.

Anyone got answers?

Keep the votes coming Very Happy

Heh, just another game to toss in. Final Fantasy is the game of choice in my local area. And trust me, some of these people have played alot of the pay to play games (I keep to the free ones) including WOW, Matrix Online, EQ2, etc... But yeah most here have returned to Final Fantasy, and it does get tedious for non players, it seams to take over ther lives and most of thier conversations Confused . But yeah, just another game to consider, it may be that you have to be really into the final fantasy games to be addicted to the online version.

hmm this may be a security thing.. they may need to have a credit card on file as policy.... i dont really see why, the game is not 18+

try emailing them to see if u can play without a credit card at all.. im starting to think u cant

You have to have a credit card on file, probably for security reasons. The free month you do get, and get billed for the next month after the free play time is up.
