this is very true, but the fact remains, that while the number of lld players may grow, the number of lld spirits out there are limited.

well, there is a !@#$ load of stuff that could be done if combined ladder and non-ladder... Btals armor with up'd Hoz and marrow walk boots (life tap)... IMO, nice. then again... you'd be missing out on gores... not a huge loss. thats a bad example probably, but you get the idea... and some of the dupes on NL are pretty cool, like the undead crown rings... adds insain amount of defence (like 4k or so).
