Admittedly, this baffles the crap out of me... but let me share my findings:
I have 3 into BOS natural with a Sig's shield (hel'd) on 2nd wep to reach +4 BOS.
Before dueling I press 'w' to get the +1 into BOS from Sigons, which should give me the 7-frame ias breakpoint.
For some reason I noticed that I died.. a LOT. A lot more than before I started using the breakpoint with Sig's shield.

A friend and I tested this for around an hour, dueling with me using the sig shield +1 BOS I would lose every time. Dueling with the natural 3 BOS I seemed to win every time.

Is there a glitch in switching shields back and forth quickly? Something wrong with the breakpoint? I don't know. But I'd advise everyone with a TS sin not to use this to reach break. You will become frustrated very quickly. >_<

make sure you switch back to the right wep/shield. sometimes if you do it to fast it wont switch. Just pull up your inventory and check before you duel.
if that isn't the problem then it could just be luck. I remember sometimes dueling with my lvl 9 sin i would come across another vlld. Even though my gear/charms/stats would be alot better, they would own me like 9 times out of 10. It got very frusterating since stat wise, i was so much better.

i think some more research sould be done to figure this out, just ask professor jerkazoid.

never encountered anything like that, if the info your giving is not in anyway mis communication, i would suspect its a fluke .

i duel this way and i do quite fine on all sorts of bad and good duelers

when dueling vlld, it all comes down to ar and defense. did your opponent have better ar and defense than you?

and when dueling while you were testing your theories, did you notice a speed change in the attack?

technically, your theory doesnt sound...sound. if you use sigon to get 4 bos, but you say the sigon shield fails, technically you should have 3 bos. then you say dueling with 3 bos you win. TECHNICALLY you should win all the time, since thats what the math would suggest.

ill start with an example

i have a teleporting sorc. when i use teleport i notice that sometimes the commands im sending to the server gets skipped (probably bc of some delay or ping,, or lag.. )

i notice that if i cast too fast i actually get to locations slower i get these weird fading-in from black, screens ,

so.... its possible hitting 7 frames is slowing u up bc your swips are too fast and getting dropped? (edit: but well thats really more of a lag issue) u think its lag then mayhaps?

The reason I kept getting killed seemed to be because I wasn't attacking enough... so yeah, Jerk, that sounds plausable. It wasn't mis-communication, the best way I could describe it was almost like after switching back from the Sig's... it seemed like I hadn't switched back from the Sigs yet. I was about as effective as someone without a claw and very slow attack speed.

And the person I was dueling had less ar, def, did less dmg, had a lower bos, and only 25 more life than me.

mayhaps i'll make a makeshift lvl 9 sin to c how it is sinvsin.
