If the Chargadin was lv29 or above, I was thinking...
...On weapon switch, use a 6-socket crystal sword filled with +9 to dexterity jewels, and an Eld'd Whitstan's Guard... This way, you can switch to max blocking while moving around or standing in one place without having to spend a single point in dexterity!

And yes, well, according to the blocking calculator, base dexterity (20) plus the dexterity from the sword (54), along with the Guard's block (105% with Eld) would be 75%.

in theory it could work great.
but it still takes alot of practice to get the timming down,, u gotta be doing practically nothing in order for the hotkey command to activate

Well... At times in which you aren't attacking. Like when you're in between duels and you're too lazy to go back to town  ...
Or while you're running away, getting ready to Charge again.

I remember someone doing something similar in .09 for a high lvl char. Like jerkazoid said, it would take impeccable timing and most likely would be very hard to pull off every time.

Switching weapons takes a bit of time, not much time, but a bit of time. If you attempt to switch, then issue a command, the switch wont work. The same happens when I warcry with my barb's WC weaps, I issue switch, then attack, the stuff doesn't switch, and I get creamed (by Spazz  ).
