"Auradin" for nm cows? Subject description: Possible lld mf char? |
|
Hi,
I was being tombed in normal a few days ago by a high level paladin who simply killed everything with his aura. Do you think it would be possible to get enough aura damage to do the same thing in nm cows? Which aura would then be the most suitable?
Thanks!

Auras are not so effective at low levels, eg. lvl 30. You better off make a high lvl auradin.

I think that's what he was asking, if a high lvl auradin could slay nm cows effectively.
It probably could work, if you used Holy Shock with enough + to skills. You won't own like an auradin in normal tombs, but i was playing with a skill planner and enough +to skills can get you over 1000 holy shock(max) damage easy. It'd take a few hits to take the NM cows down though (3k life iirc) but with facets it could work (theoretically)
It's just as easy to get so-so gear and pump a light sorc or even a trapper. My friend has a hybrid trapper/ww sin who hits 7k traps when he switches his gear up some, chain lightning kills cows quickly as well and the damage is easier to get higher.
Even a nec summoner could do your bidding, get your minions rolling and let them kill cows for you .
If you insist on an auradin, I'd suggest holy shock or massively overdone thorns with a tank build (high def, high life).

I find an aurasorc(combination of dreams/dragons and/or hoj) to be way better.
-Teleport = no enigma = more damage/survivability
-Fire/Lightning Mastery = more damage
-Static = faster killing speed
-Mercenary = conviction

Well, my sorc is nightmare rushed so I'm not really concerned about not being able to open cows because I'll never kill baal.
It's not that hard to get enough lvl to equip gear on nightmare.

Thanks for all the answers!
I think that dual dreams and infinity is out of scope for my cow-budget
I am currently using a fireball/blizzard sorc but my goal with the auradin would be to get rid of all the clicking since I am a lazy bastard.
The necro option sounds quite nice

look into a windy. This keeps the attack range or area down so that you see all the drops.
A orber is my choice for NM cows, as it works best for me.
