Yah since I've posted that the dueling format has changed a lot. Teleport used to be BM in general, and most builds were more melee oriented. Now its just a bunch of teleporting manapot chugging fireball sorcs, desync hammerdins/libbys, and regen chargers, in 30 duels. So in order to fight those a little better, yes, you need some mobility.

But I think you're taking it down the wrong route. Theres no reason to eschew werebear. Simply follow the guide just as it was, and keep a telestaff on your switch instead of edge bow, against caster duels. The idea is to unshift and morph on top of them with chainlocked teleports as a surprise blow, like how a windy does it. However, I've found twister to be hilariously ineffective at this same thing (its blockable, nil duration, even misses). Instead, one way that it can be done is like this:

tele-shift-shockwave onto people at best. If you really want to throw twister in there, do so, but I can't promise it will work. But theres no reason to not skill shockwave/werebear. You can be both a mobile summoner and a tank summoner at the same time.

In other words:
Put a telestaff in your stash
thats pretty much it
