Just wondering what stats are good, mediocre, great, etc. Also, what should i be using that I'm not, etc etc.

Well, resistance is obviously a bit low...I have done mostly TvT with him so far, but the dmg is quite impressive imo, as well as a total of 64% crit from 22% mastery, and lvl 5 crit strike (2 on armor 2 SOJs 1 from BC=lvl 5=42% crit).
I would consider making a 45 max 45 all res 80 life armor for dueling sorcs, but I have not dueled many to date. Vs trapsins though, he does quite well; hits 5 frame FHR with around 80% FRW.

If I may ask, what does your skill layout look like? If I had to put one together, and i'll admit this is kind of spur-of-the-moment, I might guess:
Howl (1), Shout (1), Battle Orders (7), Battle Command (1)
Bash (1), Double Swing (10), Double Throw (1)
Throw Mastery (15), Increased Stamina (1), Increased Speed (1), Iron Skin (1), Natural Reistance (1)
(assuming hell-rushed)
But I see you have whirlwind too...

I'm not hell rushed, i have WW and natural res on my helm so no pts to that. I maxed throwing mastery, 1 pt to spear mastry for WW, rest is about right.

How often do you find that you need to use whirlwind and under what circumstances? Or do you use it at all?

I use WW when I'm close enough, or when my javs run out (godforbid), or when I try to stop charging pallys. I use it almost every duel, unless I never get close enough.

I think that's meitou's ww barb's name  .
btw if you find a nice dmg + decent ias lance, use it for ww switch instead of the harpoons imo.

Hm, didn't think about that. My switch atm is 2 WC 30 IAS harpoon and a 2 WC Glaive, so I can keep throwing if primaries run out.
