Subject description: need suggestions, oppinions etc.

so to start off this is by no means area legal or even lld101 legal in any way shape or form. but in the middle of making an 18 smiter i was thinking how good this could do at a higher level. im wondering if this would be a waste of time and should i just go with the normal dmg build. i was thinking i could make a hard to kill character that wasnt as bm as a cold/slow smiter.
need suggestions on what gear to use. if its a waste of time just let me know, like if the regen wont help at that level like being 1hit or if ts just better to go cookie cutter lvl30...

heres my gear ideas so far...

Helm:
Pez crown 12rep w/sol (7dr)

Armor:
Spirit shroud 11mdr 10rep w/sol (7dr)
Vipermagi 35%res (if use deaths combo)

Belt:
15%dr SoE
Deaths (if use gloves and vipermagi) cbf and 30ias ith gloves

Gloves:
choices...
Bloodfist 10ias/life/fhr
10%cb crafted gloves (can anything else useful spawn?)
Deaths (if use deaths belt and vipermagi) 30ias

Boots:
uped Goblin Toes 25%cb/1dr/1mdr

Amulet:
+2offensive auras w/any useful mods?

Rings:
Soj x2

Weapon:
Crushflange 33%cb/kb/50fr/15str w/shael 20ias
that would be sper sexy to use a crushflange at level 30 ;P i think i should get some sex points for that BA mace.
or maybe just the same old 6shaeld pick or
+2pcomb(or off?)/3fanat/30ias/2os w/shaelshael

Shield:
uped swordback 50%ow/10dmg return

charms...im guessing as much life charms as you can get? or charms for breakponts...what ones you need to hit? frw? fhr?

stats:
if i must...
str=enough for gear
dex=max block WITH holy shield
vit=rest
energy=NONE ZERO..MAN why do people put points into energy...

skills:
1 smite (not going dmg build only 1 is needed)
1 charge (speedy transportation)
20 prayer (synergy to heal for cleansing)
1 cleansing (massive heal with high prayer slvl use to heal hen low on hp)
1 might
1 blessed aim
1 concentation
2 fanatacism (attack fast and proc CB alot)
1 holy bolt
1 blessed hammer
4 holy shield (block/defense/smite dmg)

ok...this build was my idea to the problem of not being able to deal enough damage with a pure smiter. so you could rely on cb and your not-so-perfect smite damage to finish them off. and also you dont have to shop for extremely hard to find gear to make this build viable.

Strategy
smite with fanatacism to proc cb as any times as possible. your dr and little life replenish should help keep you afloat bu when your life runs below half flip on cleansing and shoot your life to full while continueing smiting.then when you top off your life switch back to fanatacism to swing faster and for more dmg.use charge to get away if your opponent is hurting you too much too fast and have cleansing on.

casters: charge with cleansing on in case you get hit you an heal some before you get close, switch to fanat hit a bunch...when they run repeat. with good resists (vipermagi switch with a 45res 4os 4pdiamondshield if you must for REALLY good resists) casters shouldn't be tooooo much of a problem.

melee: fanat smite until low health, flip to cleansing to full health, switch to fanat, repeat. charge away for 2 seconds to heal if they hurt real bad lmao.

main idea is like a lvl 18. CRUSHING BLOW all the way. i chose this build to have a way to outlast other high dmging builds like zealers or barbs. but mainly because i want duels to last longer XD

There doesn't seem to be any reason you're up to 31. 29 or 30 will work just as well, and would be perfectly legal.

Your gear looks fine except for Crushflange. If you want more cb, use a Strength...

crushflange has 8% more crushing blow than strength, only plus to it is 5 more str. 8cb>5str imo

rattlecage sucks. i think with 68%cb (33fland+10gloves+25boots) it will be enough. i wanted to know if it was enough cb to trade out the crushflange and leave 35% for another weapon, or to trade out th gloves for something better and leave 58%cb. maybe clegs? or something else?

i think my originl idea for lvl31 was skin of the flayed one but i forgot about it when i got past the on-paper stage. should i got with flayed armor? or stay with switch of vipermagi/spiritshroud?

I don't think you need more cb anyway, I was just going with your idea.

6xShaeled mili pick with bloodfists and maxed concentration, pcrown, shroud, sojs, 2pcomb/life ammy, upped swordback, gtoes, soe. Cheap and probably your best option (unless you can get a nice circlet). 31 is pointless unless you need it to use ed/ias jewels.

I made a lvl 29 regen smiter, but honestly a melee character dosnt benefit alot from regen and damage far outstrips your regen rate. So unless you like running around for ages while people think your lame and or think your potting I wouldn't go this way. You have like no frw and havnt got a good charge weapon for casters and smite/melee will out dmg you. Although it may work against some smiters if you sol all your gear, but this works both ways as your dmg is basically CB and hardly any dmg, it will take less dr (integer) to negate your damage.
Range is a also a big isue with smite imo, hence why I dont usually go the 120ias pick route as I usually use a flail in my builds.

+2pcomb amulet for more HS would be a good idea, wouldn't it? Anyways, unless you charge away to heal it's not going to work so well against most melees, it's HILARIOUS in pubs when they can't kill you though. Also keep an insight on switch if you do make him. If you want to be really annoying sol all of your gear and charge away with the insight whenever your life gets too low lol...

A friend of mine made a level 29 or 30 version of one awhile ago. It didn't do so great against other level 30s though.

Level 31 is considered MLD.

so im guessing the general opinion is to make a regular smiter then?

is this build just not worth the time? or is it a...i will only be owned by pro-llders build?

In a smite to smite duel I'd put my money on a regular smiter to take you. Like has been said, the regen probably wouldn't make up for loss the damage, but don't let me stop you from trying it. But definitely go with mass IAS weapon, and if you insist on CB at least go with a 'strength' weapon, cutlass I think might be the best for this (not sure). Charging/running away and to heal your life would be pretty lame and no one would really want to duel you.
