Fury Ias (as it pertains to 6x Shael Naga) |
|
So using the german attack speed calculator, A fury wolf needs 102 IAS to reach 4 frames with a naga...that is, without bloodfists. With the 10 ias from BFists, and according to said calculator, 92 ias (with lvl 1 werewolf [lvl 2+ = 91 ias required]) is all that is needed. Unless there's something im missing, why havent i heard of anyone using a 5x shael/1x jewel (-req/ed) Naga? Seriously, am i missing something here?

The extra ias is for the first frame. 6/4 compared to 7/4

Doh yeah, i finally stumbled upon that tidbit after posting this thread. I suppose the follow up question would be, is this faster initial frame worth it? Ive never played a fury druid outside of pvm, so i dont have any experience to guide me on this one.
using a 20ed/-15 req jewel instead of a shael will afford me roughly 57 more life, and a bit more damage. Alternatively, it could free up my stat points enough so that i wouldnt have to use sanders all the time, allowing me to use gtoes/rare boots when needed.
Im not a huge fan of having a stash full of gear, and 57 more life isnt all that compelling, but maybe its worth it?

More Ias never hurt. You might see the difference once you start facing up agaisnt characters who attack faster than you.

No, of course not. Im asking whether a faster initial frame is a worthwhile tradeoff. Im thinking it is (if it wasnt i probably wouldnt be asking this question), but i wouldnt mind a few other opinions.

If anything, just have two different sets of nagas. Bunch of shael runes isn't difficult to obtain.

I dunno about fury since i've never tested otherwise, but a slower initial dragon talon is very noticable.

A faster initial attack speed helps vs charger, not very noticable vs other fury druid. On the other hand, Nef is better than ed/max jewel for fury vs fury, but some people complain about it.

All the good furys I know of use nagas. They all start out using other things... but end up switching. Fuh used an all shaeled naga on his druid and he was top dueler for a long time. The damage looks really weak... but the speed makes up for it.
as for boots... gtoes are REALLY nice on a fury (wink, wink). I think Fuh even had some eth gtoes to use when his jewelry lowered his stats.
You could pm skulls about a fury druid since I think he made one with godly gear. I'd say pm Fuh but he is permanently AFK.

I was never considering not using a naga...nor do i need any build advice. As for the gtoes, they would be nice to keep in stash however i simply do not have the stat point freedom to unequip sanders (east ladder doesnt have imp brows, not like id use a dupe anyway). Also, im not conviced that building around a 5x sheal/-req jewel naga, basically so i can use gtoes, is worthwhile.

My misunderstanding... looked like a question to me. Sorry.
Have fun
