Ok, for give my newbishness here but do boots affect damage of your kicks, and if so how do you determine it?

jesh... You guys. lol. read the link on my other replies in this post.
boots do affect dmg. alot. but so does str.
and yes, war boots, absolutely!

still, kickers arnt that viable in "real" duels as i want them to be. They need a boost or something cuz right now at lev 27 their only good for "fun" in pub duels.

Because Kicks are considered "Caster Spells" I beleive.
Who cares, str/dex can be better.

so u guys are thinking lvl 31 for kickers?
well.. lets see
it makes some major pieces of gear availible. That gear is what u guys think would make the kicker viable?

i think so. Kickers arnt viable at lev 27 since they dont get ed bonus or dmg bonus from max jewls like normal melee are. That means just less dmg all 2gether. The only thing kickers are based on is str and boots. The max boot dmg is only 80 dmg, and str, which divert from life. poo.
maybe 31 will help alot. hopefuly more viable then before.

Any past 30 are kinda breaking the traditional LLD rules.
If this happens, I wont be making a lvl 31.
We can't go and make tons and tons of complex rules
"Smiters 27, melee 29" or w/e they are, thats confusing enough. Don't drag the assassin into it, please.

its stated in the FAQS as well as Kick dmg equations that ed% from tiger strike and ed% from off weapon sources get applied.
if u charge TS ull see the kick dmg gets boosted (edit: see later for more Info on the feature of TS + kick together )
just put a 10% -15 into my sigons and its displaying the addition (after i subtract the +1 to DT ofcourse)
i dont know about 31... the items availible really will give that melee class a huge advantage imo.*
aside from the usual gear from hitting 30, 31 offers:
mosers
whitsans
Ik gloves + boots + belt
rockstopper
i am drooling over the power those items would provide and contemplating how over powered it might be?
... *buts thats most likely bc im so damn use to ladder and completely kicking the sh*t out of everyone.
ps: can we swear a bit here?

If you dont wanna go over the traditional 30, why not make it 30 then. At lvl 27 they just dont do enough to make them work decently.

Going to 30 eliminates the whole point of 31. 31 gives IK boots, gloves, belt..
25% ias, 45 str, 100ish life..
Lvl 30 you get belt/gloves, I think.. but theres no point in it. lvl 27 is more logical, we can't go making different lvl's for each individual type of character, or LLD will be even more screwed up than it is now.
I think the lvl req's for barbs and asns are perfect, I don't like the paladin one though.
I think it's kinda decided that the level restricts are staying like they are..
I hope. This isn't spam....

making rules for every build out there is little tiresome, but seems neccesary.
i like that u could make an FOHr,, but no smite and 30 is the limit.
i think its very important to balance what blizzard will not.
however i fail to see 31 kickers as being fair.. ofcourse my warped little mind is still confined to ladder at the moment.
vudoo did u test your builds against people from here? why arent they posting about how bad, or good it did?

Yeah, good point spazz. There really is no reason to go higher than 27 for kickers unless you go to 31...and that is most likely not going to happen.
What is wrong with paladin lvl req's?
And the lvl reqs are staying as they are unless a good reason to change them is brought forth.

im done arguing. When you see a viable kicker that can kill typical cookie cutter builds, then tell me cuz id like to know where they got the wring.
con barbs to lev 29 or 30 and u say asn should stay at lev 27. what a joke.
thats like melee > casters right? very ballance.

Even at lvl 31, I believe that kicker still can't win any serious melee LLD. What about lvl 35, lvl 40 kicker? What about a WW barb, a Fury Druid then? I say let's forget about LLD kicker build, and keep the LLD tight at lvl 30. If you really like kicker, make it a middle lvl dueler, lvl 42 or so. As for me, I am going to up my kicker to lvl 31 and give it a try, what a big deal...
