I fail to see how M. Bison has anything to do with this conversation.

Sorry I took so long to reply.

I'm just going to give a general response to this. In my opinion learning and discovering new things is more important than reviewing what you or the majority already know. (like a "cookie-cutter" build anyone?) And yes what Goky pointed out is probably true. I would understand completely, knowing this first hand.

I was 2nd head-chef and co-manager at my family's Asian Cuisine and Grill Restaurant for 7 years. And on occassion I had to clean out the deep fryers with vegetable oils, gas wok ranges and ventilation ducts on the roof where everything we cooked was vented out. And yes it had a greasy soot aka byproduct, etc costs. But like I said b4. Learning and doing something new is a good thing, not worrying about, "dam, what if this happens and this and this?" Inventers, leaders, people of stature and what makes a champion a winner, looked at these things too but not so much where it hindered them into not doing anything at all.

Even though you feel like a stupid-ass (like how Meegz directed stupidity towards me and saying I got shot down) at the beginning. You are only expanding your own knowledge at the end. And thats all that matters to me anyway. People will have their opinions and beliefs on what you believe in but I'm going to stick with my beliefs and my ongoing learning.

In other words, keeping an open mind, in my opinion, outweighs the consequences.

(not directed towards anyone)
Sorry I had to say this, being stupid is better than being a pussy. Stupid people can actually learn, pussies don't want to try or do anything.

p.s. oh did you read my sig. too?

Well I certainly wasn't trying to make you feel stupid or bad and I hope you didn't feel that way! I agree with you in a sense--just because lots of energy sources out there might have drawbacks doesn't mean that people should say "Oh, well everything else is going to have a downside anyways so let's just keep things how they are!". At the same time though, if the potential benefits and downsides of some new method are questionable at best, then it'd probably be a bad idea to rush into anything. The logistics and consequences of those kind of things are just too great to have a let's-just-hope-for-the-best attitude.

Also not to sound even more pessimistic, but let me make a small analogy here. You know how those public health campaigns say things like "walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator!". I mean it's reassuring and all and makes people feel a little better about themselves, but if you're shoving down Baconators all day and chugging Mountain Dew like it's the nectar of the gods, those extra 20 calories aren't going to make a difference in the world. Likewise, if a few people start a few green campaigns on U.S. university campuses while the worlds developed nations are literally putting millions and millions of tons of crap into the air every year.. you probably see where I'm going with this.

Anyway just to strike up a little more conversation, it's very clear that nuclear power is the way to go. It's what the environmentalists actually want, but most of them are either a little too dense or stubborn to realize it (or most likely just ignorant--but I don't really mean that in a bad way, it's pretty understandable) . You can't even mention the idea without most of the American public having an aneurysm, and for some reason they think that there's no possible way you could actually support nuclear power unless you had some horrible agenda to put money into the pockets of vile scum who get joy from turning unicorn filled magical forests into desolate wastelands.
