What? You're the one who needed it explaining, I'd have left it if you'd understood it. I thought it was obvious that angelics were far and away the only choice.
Thanks for underlining your own mediocrity. |
i have a holy fire pally with a glitched kuko (invisible arrows). when people ask me how my aura hits so fast, i say i have high fcr.

i dont even know what u said but if you have to explain a joke then its not funny. He asked a question and i thought that u thought fcr actually helped auras and when u said it was a joke i thought "what kind of joke was that -_-." im not trying to get u mad or anything. I give the joke a 1/10 but the guide is a 8.5/10 because it looks like a fun build. I was thinking about making somthing similar to this for lvl 31 with alot of ias to kill high lvls.

CHYEAH i actually made one at all
I took Roy's suggestion and made him lvl 22 for gtoes tho
mostly 15 lifers, with some random max dmg charms, my resists are pretty horrible
Here are the stats
(yea... look at that thawing potion for more lameness. Stat points possibly for extra dex without angelics)

vouch!
it comes handy when pubs host my vlld, but i'm still having some problems with high def chars and casters (didn't try +max res gear.. yet... what would be uber lame)
i liked it so much that a started fooling around with real llds
buuut i'm now curious how a lvl 30 smiter would look like
i was thinking if some extra rep life would make a good combo with teh slowwww
Almost the same gear
12 rep Pcrown
Upped Twitch
Upped Swordback
Deaths Combo
Goblin Toes
but i came along with some options like:
-strings
-spirit shrould
-Rhyme Barbed shield
-auto-rep ornate plate
-Artisans xxx armor of squid
-IK Combo
-Blood boots
-Crafted/Rare Gloves/belt
suggestion on socks?
well i'll do some research about all the breakpoints needed and stuff and post later, maybe you could add the smiter to your guide or something
i'm pretty bored on d2 and being lame with pubs was so fun.
Does that make me a bad person?

im going to make a lvl 25 smiter on ladder names "I-BM"
there are a few questions i have tho.
is it worth putting a point into resist cold? (edit: nvm it has no affect unless i used zeal or wanted more pulse dmg)
also what lvl req is up'd swordback? (edit: it would be lvl 20 up'd[correct??] but then if i socketed it with a jewel would it add to the lvl req if the jewels lvl req was >15 or <15> sigs?

for boots do i want the g toes for CB or do i want sanders for f w/r? (edit: probobly g toes...smite needs cb.)
for helm should i use a 3x p rubied crown? or mabey something different (suggestions?)? (edit: still no idea) | If your going to make a Smiter with the aura Holy Freeze, Resist Cold isn't needed because elemental damage doesn't affect Smite damage. I think the level requirement for a Upped Swordback Hold is level 30. For a Smiter, Goblin Toe would be best because of the 25% Crushing Blow (Every Smiter needs Crushing Blow). The Helmet should be socketed with Perfect Rubies or Perfect Skulls (Just my opinion).

Hey, first off, Nice build!
Second, I'm making one on W/HC/L, and need a few pointers such as these:
Why not hell rush? [He will be pub killer/llder/etc I don't mind switching to see games.]
Also, why not use eth flail instead of non eth? Eth should be easy to find to where you could have enough back ups in stash and 15 maxers aren't hard either....
Thanks !

I think it's just a matter of preference. You can definitely tweak the build a little bit if you don't mind replacing gear or switching chars to find games.

I ran into a lame-adin last year or one very similar.. There not much fun to duel (he had a trashy mouth and be-littled everyone in the game)..He raped my lld account.. stole everyones gold..took the keys to my corvette and left..(actually I think I was a little jealous)..

freeze a din Subject description: not sure if this build is as good as it could be. |

Well, i read most of this build, and went off and rushed a toon thru nm and hell , made it then i was referring back to this post to check on gear etc., when i read it in its entirety.
Now i am confused: what the hell does it call for faster casting jewelry for ? u dom't cast an aura its just on or it isnt , it pulses like once a second whether or not u have 200 fcr or none. Dangit now this guy's credibilty is shot in my eyes.
It,s too bad i spent all the time buildign this thing b4 i realized the guy that wrote the guide might not be the greatest expert at diablo ( or at least the character he is trying to show how to build. no offense to author , and the guide does give one a general idea, if not a perfect build. thank you.
I guess the moral of the story is do a lil background check on the author b4 u go spend two days buildign their build.

another thing: a lot of people have said that using smite w/ crushign blow and open wounds is more effective fora holy freeze din. The points saved from sacrifice and zeal can pump up your holy freeze so its efffective range actually slows them (BEFORE) they reach you.
I am saying this partly because i took my lame-a-din out on some low duels, and a lvl 18 lame-a din kicked my lvl 21 lame-a-din's butt. i followed your skill point allocation exactly. and he didnt waste the points on sac and zeal.
once i left town i was going hella slow and i couldnt zeal, couldn't charge. I'm guessing its mostly because his holy freeze was much hier than mine, although to be fair to the author of this build i didnt have all the gear on that he recommeded yet.
Once again ty for the build and school me up, I'm eager to learn , even if it's by constructive criticism.
