Sorry I play the game but don't follow it. How is trying to figure out the deffensive plays tactics cheating?

Is it just written down in law *You cant film the coaches.*?

I thought this would be like common intelegent practise, like watching game film to prepare your team and all that. Would just make sense for your deffensive coachs to change thier signals all the time. And set up thier own trap?

Well, it's not that broad.
The coach got scouts to film their hand motions, look at the time, then watch their plays.
So essentially, they knew exactly what was going to happen, which pretty much where they needed to go, at whatever point in the game.

It's like watching your friend push the button for the plays on Madden.

No, it would be like using maphack in starcraft lol. And also they probably didnt want to punish them as much because they didn't want the sport ruined like baseball
