This is pretty funny. Some women don't even know what womens suffrage is. They sign a petition to stop it ( eliminate their right to vote >< ).

Just wondering what you guys think of this.

I like that it's titled "prank at collage". So the people in the video are idiots, and the person posting the video isn't that bright, either.

Honestly, though, I support the idea. We need less women voting. And men. Frankly, we need less voting overall, because statistically speaking the average voter is an idiot.

Yeah, we actually just watched that video in my American Heritage class as an example of how sometimes voters aren't told all of the information regarding an issue.

Hardly anyone votes anymore because theres shit candidates to vote for I think the majority of the people that vote have an IQ less then a bowl of fruit or are duped into voting thinking they will get something that they won't.

And you say that about women cody, but that just shows how much you don't know about women, there is quite a few really brilliant women out there.

Also..what would you do without your mother cody?

Ben that was a shot at humor, i highly respect my mother, hillary clinton blows, rosa parks is awesome, and they are under estimated in history and not listed as much as male figures.
I stay strong on my opinion of women can't drive..

Honestly at this point I don't even think the most of the voting public is stupid. I think it boils down to simple apathy because by and large politics just doesn't CHANGE much at the national level. Its more that we are currently locked into a bi-party system where both parties look like different flavors of the same problems. Then if you add the increasing lack of quality news in general (all TV and even most newspaper media is quite biased or sensational now); the imposibility of being a candidate unless your rich, have the support of one of the 2 parties (or usually both).......... well why SHOULD you care who gets elected? Its certainly not someone you would REALLY want representing you in government.

Lord knows there is alot more to it than that. Its not even always the party system, because there are always a few politicians that are part of a party but different enough from the party norm that you feel they support some things you beleive in. But it definately seems like that last 20-30 years has seen politicians being more "career" than ever before. Not even being a career politician is always bad, but without non-career politicians as a balancing force many voters are left without a good choice. Now right or wrong (this is my opinion), the ability to vote for someone totally different and possibly new/unknown because none of the entrentched political candidates seem to be following the publics wishes anymore has always been THE CRITICAL balancing force that kept career politicians more or less "honest" (not in the moral sense, but that they would atleast TRY to support what their consituents wanted so they could get re-elected). Now all they have to do if they catch flack for doing things counter to their voter's wishes is put out media spin or redirect everyone's attention with attack adds against the other guy............

... But yes.... there are also alot of stupid people voting who don't mind voting un-informed and make their choices based on the most superficial things. I really don't feel this makes a true majority of the nation however... its just that so few of the candidates to make it onto the balot are attractive to the general public. I vote (most of the time) and always do my best to make an informed decision, but I don't know how many times in years past I've ended up voteing half-heartedly or not at all because all the candidates sucked and were only superficially different. [and if anyone was wondering I'm not just talking presidential level here... senators/govenors/etc too]

and just for laughs more than anything here is what I think the current parties represent at heart:
Republican - probuisness, pro-rich, anti-middle class. Less money into public programs but waste it on (this changes but their not interested in it being spent on much of the american public)
Democrat - theoretically pro-poor/lower class (but not much in reality), even MORE anti-middle class. Lots of money into public programs (wastefully so and in all the wrong ones), usually guts the military [the reason we now usually have national guardsmen fighting in a "minor" war].
