i've been pondering this for a long time...

so if you make a max ES/telek sorc, how much dr/mdr would you have to get to make it literally *unkillable*? presuming this is impossible, what is the maximum damage mitigation possible, and how much would that leave you taking from a well-geared [insert character class/build here]?

To my understanding, one of the obscure unique armors has like 50(m?)dr, if you get a jewelers coronet of life everlasting, shocking amulet of life everlasting, jewelers monarch of life everlasting, all mal'd/sol'd, etc.

I haven't added this up, but it seems like a large large amount, with more possible

Poison rapes Es sorces since they lack resists.

My bowa barb could killa 95 es tank sorc in about two arrows.

how about a more refined question of vs smiters/ww barbs/wind druids/hammerdins? (some of the more annoying top end pvp builds)

I had a 95 es tele zealot sorc who did very well, smiters still beat her just for the fact that they never missed and my mana go drained.

However vs any other build she did quite well, even vs hammerdins if they got lazy and didnt tele quick enough. So ya they are very viable.

Well you have to think, more than half of the es sorcs are garbage anyways. Asside from the es/lits, I believe I've only found one good es/fb. A good es sorc would be prepared for psn chars.

And sorcs arent the best anti good hld chars, since it is rather simple to stack n sorb em'.

My MLD es sorc does surprisingly well against MLDs. I have no resistances however (I've yet to make my sanc), but I still do pretty good.

I've always wondered if there is a way to "mana burn" in pvp the way the monsters can do it to us in a game.

Anyway, it would be cool to figure a way to rape es sorcs mana away with one attack then switch back and norm attack em to death Twisted Evil

At what rate tho? Monsters in the game can hit you one time and deplete your entire orb! Granted most of us don't put anything into mana but still!

depends on the damage of the druid of course. read the skill Wink

you could load up on mana steal gear i would think to make it extra funny

if i remeber correctly i sorta broke down an evaluation of approx 800 pvp (i think?) or maybe 800 listed dmg....
could be mitigated by a lvl 33 sorc and stay potentially unkillable with regen sources and maxed tele syngery.

i called it "ghandi sorc" and i always liked that name lol.

the problem was ES took dmg First, (after the 17% pvp chop ofcourse)
then the dr% then the DR...
so the brute force was on the shield going to mana,,, no mana ment no 'sorb.

just fyi,, the dates are amusing, the ideas still come up.

ah here is a small estimate, though i dont have any of the specifcs anymore to tell you how i arrived at that exactly.

"a 75% eshield 6 sols and 20dr iron pelt will negate about 1400 dmg"

with a 95 es sorc you can use a 3 sols in your gear + a string of ears and pretty much not die at 1 life if you have the mana to absorb the 95% of the damage.

or, you can go with a gerkes shield, and theres like 16 mdr 18 dr right there.

I personally dont think you can make a character unkillable. You can make it very hard...but you WILL get killed (quite often).
