Is this strongly suggested? I'd just like to hear everyone's opinions on this.

i did it on my fire sorc, and id suggest doing it. unless you're a caster that plans to not get hit, or is utilizing Eshield.

Yes, max block is still pretty much a must-have on any character in PvP. Block will help prevent those stray arrows or javas from hitting you, among other things. Plus it can be the only way out of an otherwise lethal chargelock.

utilizing Eshield.

I found a decent orb on a mule that I use on my blizz sorc now, and it has +1 nrg shield on it. I tried it against Micah's fireball sorc, and 2 fireballs completely drained my mana. Drained. Energy shield is sooo not worth it in most situations.

And yes, max block is a good idea on pretty much any character, except a caster vs caster of course. Wink

in order to use eshield effectively, you have to put all your stats into mana, rather than vita, and get a high skill level of telekenisis, as it is a synergy of eshield and makes it take away like .6 mana for every damage point rather than 2. or something like that, i kind of zoned out when dave was explaining it.

i found a +3 eshield +2 shiver armor +17 mana 20% FCR +1skill orb today =x. i think ill use that on my switch for my fire sorc

The explanation of the Energy Shield + Telekinesis synergy is on the Arreat Summit...
