I was hoping I wouldn't have to spell this out, but it seems some people don't understand basic forum posting guidelines.

1. Do not make pointless, unnecessary spam posts. Like this recent gem from Spazz:

Quote:
You suck Crying or Very sad

JK.. DON'T BAN ME..
I love you.

If you feel like to have to post whatever crap comes out of your mind, go to diabloii.net's off-topic forum and go crazy.

2. No racism or anything like that...this shouldn't need explanation.

3. No flaming or insulting other forum members.

That's all for now. Have fun.

New rule, as of 4/27/06, due to the Fire Pit being created.

We will be lifting the word censors for use in this forum, but this comes at a cost, as profanity outside of the Fire Pit is now punishable. Depending on the severity, the consequences will range from nothing to a warning to a step between a warning and Thin Ice, aptly named "Slapped on the Wrist". This tag will be temporary, and pending good behavior, will be taken off within a couple weeks or so, depending once again on the severity. It will be used for profanity, and any other offense mild enough to warrant something other than just a warning, but not harsh enough to warrant Thin Ice or a ban.

Not all cases will be the same, and all will be taken on a case by case basis, and behavior prior to the potential application of the "Slapped on the Wrist" tag will be taken into consideration before applying it excessively. So in other words, if you're a LLD101 member in good standing who doesn't cause trouble and follows the rules, you'll be less likely to get a "Slapped" tag if you do something minor than say, someone like Spazz. Wink

No posting links to Laurie's new D2 forum. If you don't know what that is or what that means, good. If you do, then don't post the link here. Simple as that.

And no trading or ISOing their forum gold either.

Also, do not post any information about duping, 3rd party programs, or any other d2-related hacks. And no asking about them, either. Your post will be deleted immediately.

Up until this point, there hasn't been a set-in-stone rule about this. But seeing as how several people are exploiting this as of late, I am going to set the rule here.

LLD101 users are limited to only ONE LLD101 account. Do not make more than ONE LLD101 account. Do not post from more than ONE LLD101 account.

If you create and post from an alternative account other than your main one, you are subject to a multitude of consequences ranging from deactivation of either account or deletion of either account to temporary forum bans. If multiple account creation persists, you may be banned from LLD101, and this will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis.

This rule applies to previously-made (before this post) and newly-made multiple accounts, and is subject to change as deemed necessary on a case-to-case basis.

November 29th, 2006:

Flaming has been banned.

This includes personal attacks, undue and hostile criticisms, and other general anti-LLD101 propaganda that may be seen as inflammatory to the well-being of the site. Too much crap has been let slide with the fire pit, and many people are too used to letting everything hang out, saying what they want, and having no consequences. Well those days are over. Either deal with it or leave.
