My 18 kicker is by far my favorite char.
imo the one taht nevers loses (or rarely) in pubs is a zealer but thats only the case if the person knows what he/she is doing.

its a tough choice between cs zon and ts/dtail sin for my fav lld. ill have to go with cs cuz she wins a lot more, lol.

jump bow barb was really fun, but useless. hrm, then probably my lvl 15 regen smite/charger (uses full clegs set).

most survivable are probably the new craze of hammerdins, good dmg and if used correctly hard to hit, and can have good charge dmg.

first off regen smiters are noob, its almost as bad as poting.

my favorite char has to be one of these defensive chars

lvl12 summon/bear hybrid
lvl9 sac/def pally
lvl18 or 30 conc barb

In pubs, if you're good on a necro or hdin, chances are you won't die.
