Ok guys.
I was in a drop game...
My losses were RavenLore.
I had gained ethereal Skulders with 5/3 cold facet in it.
And a p-diam lidless.
(Keep in mind this is on ladder) at 11:30 Central time.
The guy who dropped these items, leaves before me.
I leave...
I join a new game and then the eth skulders and p-diam lidless are gone..
Yet my RavenLore is back in my stash...

its known as a "roll back". it happens when the game is lagged and drops you. sometimes you dont even notice the lag, nor do you get dropped. sometimes it just happens. but yes, you were "rolled back"

this reminds me of something funny in 09 that happened to me. My cousin and I both started mf barbs, mine i spent all i could on and he had pretty much every very best item you could possibly have for mf barb including duped dual leech mf rings and hacked 1000 dmg 200 mf ith sword x2 anywho my cousin borrowed all my mf gear one night and kept it for liek 2 weeks cause i was on vacation, and while he had the stuff on his acc, my barb got rolled back, and all my items were back on my barb, but my cousin still had the items on his acc too. It was pretty awesome ^-^ This post jus reminded me of that sorry o.O

yes, in 09 rollback could often dupe items. its no longer the case in .10 though >.<

no no, roll backs lead to dupe methods and still exist in .10 as with any version of the game its just a matter of finding them, most of the dupes that are developed come from roll backs, when peeps find roll backs the #1 question is it a whole game roll back or just a single (or couple of) char roll back in which only one or some of the peeps in a game are rolled back (which can be used to dupe), whole game roll backs are used to craft, imbue, socket, runewrod items without fear of messing up the item or being stuck with crappy mods.

anyway a roll back can be caused by many things, lag causes the ones that you mostly have no idea what happened (usually doesnt roll back the whole game length mostly a few seconds or mins) then there are glitches, these are just flaws in the code/variables and your game crashes and the server will roll you back (usually to the point which you joined the game) and cannot be repeated, then there are loopholes, a piece of code that has nowhere to go to and is not random (it can be repeated over and over) these are what dupers look for, a bug in the game they can repeat, if it leads to a roll back that can mean some bad news for bnet =(

be careful if you find a roll back method (and use it more than once or twice) cuz they also often lead to cd-key banning or account deletion and it destroys the game

They Have d2loader programs that lag you on purpose, my friend played with 1 and he was playing at crapy frames N all that. Within minutes he was banned N still is today, this was about a month ago, Dont think it wont happen to you cause it will, and your gana kick urself for doing it.
