You won't get much more damage than you currently have. Holy Shield is what adds damage to Smite.

At least among level 18's, the lack of a Ranged/Caster category and the infinite Bone Armor recasts in Open are preventing me and a couple of my friends from joining the arena.

I've had some great duels with Q on my throw barb -- lots of strategy, essentially two ranged chars with similar attacks.
