I have 25 megs from my ISP that I'm doing nothing with.

I'd be happy enough to host it for you.

certain sites that u subsribe to will allow hosting of larger files. the only probably is that u'd be spending money.....which is retarted and no one wants to do....

unless im mistaken, i believe xanga may allow u to host larger files if your a premium member

the other choice is to get a free geocities domain, or a .tk or something, and host files. im pretty sure u can get at least a 5meg free storage

my mistake i asumed u had ment post into the board,, not post a link.

but free hosting of 5mb ?? your looking at a favor from someone. i dont even think places like myspace.com
would allow something that big.

I can host it for you. I just hope you're not planning on using it in a sig, because that'll take a LONG time for anyone who uses dial-up to load.

we would definately not allow video images to be used as signatures, as anyone running a connection lower than cable would be lagged to all hell trying to load a page. and that isnt fair to them. members can choose not to view or load a page containing a film someone has posted. but members cannot choose to not load someones video signature.

u could always convert your video into a gif file...but if u dont wanna spend a lottttttttttttttttt of time doing this by hand, your gunna need an advanced video program like adobe premiere. and even if u do this, the file will be relatively large, so its still gunna clog bandwidth

message boards must have those abilities enabled

ldl101 could have posts that contain midi files, mp3s flash animation, window avi, im sure q-time too... but it would be up to zhar to enable that stuff.

and security could become a problem, allowing certain file types apperently incresaes the risk of (-)4><0|2 tampering.

not to mention the bandwidth involved with loading pages containing peoples multimedia sigs an such.

this is why the only thing that really is allowed seems to be jpeg/gif images
