I'm looking into this now. The categories hierarchy mod makes it difficult or impossible at best for many other mods to be installed, but this one is rather simple.
I will be doing a backup of the board later today and also installing some much needed upgrades along with this one if it works.
UPDATE: this is currently not possible as far as I can tell. I can globally disable all signatures for all users on the entire board, but not for individual users.
There are two mods which perform this function. Unfortunately one lot only works on a vanilla PHPBB board and a second mod I found only works on any older version of categories hierarchy 2.1.4 (we have been running under 2.1.6 for many months now)

Sure I do. That's why I took a good 15-second look at YOUR sig before I blocked it.

lol I never had a problem with sigs. If it takes a long time to laod I can take off all of mine, didn't know people had problems with it.

I'm fairly sure there's no software option in phpBB that can fix this. Your solution will probably be the bext one.

Yep, it's the really large ones (and Shieron's) that annoy me the most. Ah well. My adblock got a very brisk workout this morning. I decided that anyone who's signature pic annoyed me also got their avatar blocked too as some weird only-in-PPR's-mind retribution.

I made a thread about this a while ago. If people were to tone down their sigs it wouldnt be so bad. waramp for example has over 3inches of signature! And i adblocked Shieron's a long time ago 
Short of adblock, there is no way to do it.
There must be a mod for it somewhere.

No, actually, I just really, really dislike trying to read a thread around all the pictures.
And my 3rd sentence should reveal that I know all about Firefox and AdBlock. I was just hoping I could do it en masse.
@Shieron: You win. Yours is BY FAR the most obnoxious.

As we all should know, but I shall mention for those who do not. He is ost likely asking this to reduce the load time on each page, unfortunately I do not think there is a way to disable it from LLD101 (I had a quick looksie for it) there could be some blockers that could help though.
